Every year, the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega enjoy their sisterhood through several events.  This includes Sisterhood Retreat, ACE’s All Sing, ACE’s Carnicus, Alumni Picnic, Parents Weekend, Senior Roast, Homecoming, intramural sports, Lip Sync, date parties, mixers, and formals.  Check out our sisterhood in action in our photo albums!

Sisterhood Retreat:  Every fall, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega go on a Sisterhood Retreat.  This event allows members to reconnect after the summer break as well as a chance to meet and get to know our newest members.  This year we went tubing down the river!

Lip Sync:  This is a Panhellenic event hosted by our new members!  Each chapter is assigned a musician/band/singer and performs a lip synced dance to a collection of songs.  It’s a great way for new pledge classes to bond!  This year our performer was Nelly.

Big Sis Revealing:  On this day, each new member is welcomed into their ‘family’ in the chapter by getting a big sis.  This year new members dressed up in costumes provided by their secret big sis.  As the new members get in their costumes, their big sisters anxiously await their arrival with tons of gifts and goodies and their chapter families. The sister with the matching costume is their big sis!

Senior Roast:  Every Spring semester we show our appreciation and recognize our seniors.  At this event, we reminisce with our graduating ladies in the form of a humorous poem.  This year, our seniors got roasted while sailing on the Tennessee River on the Volunteer Princess Yacht.

Formal and Date Parties:  Each semester Alpha Chi has many date functions. Our biggest date party, held in the fall, is Square Dance. Everyone dresses up in their finest country fashion and we head to a barn to dance the night away. Other date party themes have been My Tie/Crazy Cocktail, Wacky Tacky Christmas, Famous Couples, Kentucky Derby Days and many more. We also have a formal at the end of each semester. Past locations have included Knoxville’s Riverboat on the Tennessee River and Sassy Anne’s House of Blues.

Mixers: Mixers are a great way to get to know and socialize with other fraternities and sororities. The themes vary from year to year, but are always exciting to go to! The latest themes include Redneck Wedding, Graffiti, When I Grow Up…, Nasty NASCAR, “S” is for…, Rockstars and Groupies, Bikers and Babes, Throw it Down for Your Hometown, Revenge of the Nerds, Disco Fever, Margaritaville, and our annual rafting mixer on the Ocoee River with Phi Sigma Kappa!
