The collegians and alumnae of the Delta Pi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega have been working towards a new housing development for many years. We are excited that our dream will become reality in the near future! The University of Tennessee is building a Sorority Village on Morgan Hill found at the west end of campus. This village will be designed to ensure the continued strength of the Panhellenic system but to allow chapters the room to continue their amazing growth.
Through our work with the University, Alpha Chi Omega headquarters, and the collegiate chapter members, we will be building a 14,000 square foot facility that will house 52 women, and include a formal living room, full size kitchen, and enough meeting space for significant growth of the chapter.
The Sorority Village is planned to be completed in the fall of 2010, which means that freshman becoming new members in the fall of 2008 are likely to live in the house by the time they graduate. We are very excited about this new opportunity and we thank the University of Tennessee administration, Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters, and Alpha Chi Omega alumni for their support and donations.
